Kimberly McCourt

I have proudly served on the Canton School Committee for the last 3 years, and today, my commitment to our students, teachers and community is stronger than ever.

As both a parent and resident I understand that our schools are the heart of our community.

During my term, I have taken a particular interest in building safety, fiscal responsibility/ budgeting and policy. I am particularly proud of my work on the negotiations committee. In this role, we worked collaboratively and respectfully with union leadership to deliver fair, competitive contracts for both our teachers (Unit A) and support staff (Unit E). We achieved this while remaining disciplined and sticking to our budgetary goals and timeline.

My approach has always been one of collaboration and relationship building. I believe in listening to parents’ and working alongside administrators and educators to help the district achieve its goals.

Serving this district is a responsibility I don't take lightly. The role of a school committee member requires a lot of hard work, time, and a steady hand to ensure our schools remain a source of pride for canton taxpayers.  I’m forever grateful that the people of Canton chose me to be part of the committee three years ago and it would be my honor to continue this work. I respectfully ask for your vote on April 7th.
